Liv Gallo is a 26-year old freelance art director / set dresser based in Kansas City, Missouri. In May of 2021 she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri- Kansas City with a BA in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Film and Film Studies and Journalism and Mass Communications. 
During her time at UMKC, Liv interned with KCUR program "New Letters on the Air" with Angela Elam, writing and producing original promotional clips which air weekly on KCUR. She entered the industry shortly after graduation in an art department internship program for Wide Awake Films as an Art Department assistant for the duration of summer 2021, working on their docuseries "Impossible Escapes: Civil War" available on Curiosity Stream. 
For the past few years, Liv has worked in the art department on commercials for ArtClass Content and Barkley Advertising, for clients including Carvana, T-Mobile, US Bank, Dairy Queen and more. In addition to commercial work, she enjoys working on music videos, notably working as a set dresser for Oscar nominated artist Mitski and Grammy nominated artists the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Frequently Liv works for local label Strange Music, as the art director for a variety of videos for their signed artists including Tech N9ne and King ISO. 

In the summer of 2022 Liv also wrapped on a narrative feature film, Headcount,  where she joined the crew as a set decorator, and in 2024 served as production designer for upcoming horror film Possession at Gladstone Manor.
Liv is a member of the WIFM (Women in Film and Media) Kansas City chapter. She loves to collaborate with other young creatives in the film industry, learn new skills from her mentors in the art community and enjoys working hard on set.
In her free time she enjoys visiting thrift stores, fixing up film cameras and developing concept photoshoots with her friends.
